Film Me uses AI and automation throughout its post-production workflow, because they make large projects faster and more consistent. AI never replaces human judgement: people make every creative decision and a person checks every file before delivery. Film Me does not use AI-generated footage, voices or likenesses in client work without written agreement.
Film Me's view of AI
Of course AI enhances our workflows. It never replaces human judgement.
In 2026 it would be strange if a post-production company did not use AI. It transcribes interviews, makes hours of footage searchable, drafts captions and catches technical errors, so editors spend their time on the edit itself. What it does not do is decide. People choose the story, the takes and the tone.
AI augments. It does not replace.
On a programme of several hundred files, AI and automation are how consistency is kept: the same naming, the same export settings, the same checks, every time. They make good editors faster. They do not make an edit good.
AI-generated video often isn’t there yet.
Film Me makes AI-generated video and watches the field closely. For most corporate work it is not ready: it struggles with real people, real products, brand accuracy and consistency across a series. So when Film Me films or edits your people, products and places, they are real. Where generated footage does help, such as abstract visuals, concept films and mood pieces, we will suggest it, label it clearly, and use it only with your agreement.

People decide, and a person checks every file.
Creative decisions are made by people. Every deliverable is checked by a person and passes senior review.
We tell you where AI is used.
If you ask, or if it is material to your project, Film Me will tell you which parts of the work used AI tools.
No synthetic people without your written agreement.
Film Me will not generate footage, voices or likenesses of your people, or synthetic versions of your products, unless you have agreed in writing.
AI output is never assumed correct.
Names, job titles, figures, captions and translations are verified by a person.
Your footage is not training data.
Every AI tool that touches client footage at Film Me runs on business terms that do not use your footage to train models.

How Film Me handles your material.
Your footage may contain confidential, commercially sensitive or personal information. Film Me treats it that way.
The details below describe Film Me’s standard practice. Project-specific arrangements, such as a non-disclosure agreement, a set deletion date, are available on request.
- Receiving footage
- Large-file transfer link, shared cloud folder, or couriered hard drives
- Storage
- Working drives in the Film Me studio in Australia, plus a business cloud service for transfer and review
- Backups
- A second local backup copy. Nothing is edited from a single copy
- Access
- Only the people working on your project. Freelance editors work under confidentiality terms
- Retention
- Kept for at least 60 days after delivery, then deleted or archived by agreement
- Deletion
- On written request, at any time after delivery
- AI tools
- Business-grade tools on terms that do not train on your footage
- If something goes wrong
- Film Me will tell you promptly, say what happened and what is being done

Tell us at the start.
Many organisations now restrict which AI tools may touch their material. Send Film Me your policy with your brief. We will tell you plainly which tools we would use on your project and why, and whether we can meet your policy, before any footage changes hands.
